in the different European countries.

Description

The European Academy of Teachers in General Practice and the French National College of Teachers in General Practice propose an annual meeting for GP teachers. The main goal is to develop the training of teachers and to plan a course. Since 1996, this CNGE Course develop the implementation of new methods and involved GPs from many European countries who had the opportunity to exchange their experiences. The target of this workshop is European course organisers, really involved in specific vocational training of General Practice in their own countries. This year, the topic is centred on "Patient involvement in medical decisions: from practice to teaching."

Objectives

  • To improve patient involvement concerning their health care.
  • To identify and teach methods to involve patients in medical decisions.
  • To use Patient involvement as a support for teaching general practice.
  • To promote Patient empowerment during the training process.
